Re: Better UI for multiple apps per profile

First I brought this up quite some time ago, but it is still an issue for me, deserving it's own topic for discussion. LOL - if it deserves its own topic then create a new topic! You will get some support, I know that... And it is on the list of things to do, along with lots of other things (not le...

Re: XMBC 2.18 Beta

OK thanks for that - missed the apply option I guess. As to what it does - I don't really know. Its a windows settings and I presume it has something to do with cursor acceleration. I guess the answer to that is to look it up in the windows manual (and maybe copy it to the XMBC manual :)). Thanks, P...

Re: Prevent accessing LPT port by another application

I understand. At the end of the day you need to decide what your going to do. I cant do that for you. I can only make recommendations based on my experience and what I have done instead of relying on a parallel port as i simply don't know if you can achieve your goal using InpOut32 and direct access...

Re: XMBC 2.18 Beta

Itis working in other profiles for me right now.. As I said... I then added a profile for notepad++ and set layer 2's scroll up/down to "same as default profile" and that worked too (as in it still scrolled left and right which is what layer 2 on the default profile says). So it worked for default A...

Re: XMBC 2.18 Beta

Glad the Photoshop issue is resolve. Scrollbar is fixed also. Unfortunately my 2nd layer scrolling left/right doesn't work in other profiles. Other thing is that while 2nd layer is active it's not only doesn't respect buttons from 1st layer, but also swaps 4th and 5th button or rather doesn't respe...

Re: XMBC 2.18 Beta

Kukurkus, You only need to enable regular expression checking IF you are using regular expressions (complex text comparisons) which you are not so that makes no sense (as I tried to explain the other day). What is a regular expression? Regular expressions are slow to search so should be avoided unle...

Re: XMBC 2.18 Beta

Here is 2.18 Beta 17... I hope this will fix the broken implementation of Enhance Pointer Precision on a per profile basis and respect what has been set in Windows (unless you intentionally override it!). If you have check for beta versions enabled, you should get notified of a new version and promp...

Re: Prevent accessing LPT port by another application

Yes, I understand the problem, but I cant help I'm afraid. Inpout32 is a generic port level driver (that I did not even write, I only ported it to x64). The driver can not be changed as I don't have (and can't get) the ability to sign kernel level drivers anymore (previously a friendly user who had ...

Re: Prevent accessing LPT port by another application

Sorry I don't know the answer to that! Not sure its possible - certainly not with InpOut32 as that is just a driver to hit any port - there is no exclusivity check (and for there to be, every other app would have to use the same driver - which clearly wont be happening if Windows has other LPT drive...

Re: XMBC 2.18 Beta

Try turning on pointer precision in the XMBC general settings page - that should at least stop XMBC turning it back off (as it will use that as the default)... It wont be changing on a timer, its more likely to be as the profile (default or other) is activated... Not right but I think that would mak...

Re: XMBC 2.18 Beta

@Phil It seems that I could be right and XMBC just didn't want to check and did it only after restart. A restart will flush your DNS cache.. So yeh that might help. As might running ipconfig /flushdns but the point is DNS does not updqate instantly and this is NOT a problem! I've checked that point...

Re: XMBC 2.18 Beta

Updates use DNS TXT records to propagate the latest version. This can take up to 24hrs to propagate around the web (and through your local DNS cache). So thats quite normal. @Kukurykus... OK Debug log please (with you moving the cursor between these windows). Because I have pretty much put it back t...

Re: How to add a special parameter "Enhance pointer precision" for each profile?

I have added it to 2.18 Beta 16 (available on the beta thread) as it was a relatively easy change.
I would appreciate if you could test it and make sure it works <before> I release 2.18

Thanks

Re: XMBC 2.18 Beta

Here is 2.18 Beta 16... If you have check for beta versions enabled, you should get notified of a new version and prompted to update in the next day or so. This is the most efficient method (bandwidth wise) as the updates are only a fraction of the size of the full install. Otherwise, you can get th...

Re: window.history.back

Good news - thanks for letting me know.
Ive just finished implementing the execute task in another thread.... So Beta 16 should work, even with a lower hook timeout!

Thanks,
Phil
