Requirement: undo for restore desktop icons

sometimes, it happens, that the desktop icons are not longer positioned as before. Therefore it is a great function, that XMB can save and also restore the icons. I apreciate, that I do not have to "save a member", when I backup the desktop, because, probably I would not remember the name and the fo...

Re: "open Explorer at specified Folder" doesn't work

Phil, I have tried all your recommendations and can report the following: I use a no name mouse, called SiverCrest. the system manager shows for "mice and other pointer devices" 3 entries each showing as HID-conformable mouse (sorry, I do not know the exact computer terminology). The driver details ...

Re: "open Explorer at specified Folder" doesn't work

Hi Phil, it seems, that XMBC doesn't see button 4 and 5 at all when they are pressed. Due to your answer, I have assigned another function to button 5 and nothing happens. And I see, that in the setup window the appropriate button field becomes yellow when I press the appropriate butten, but the fie...

Hallo Phil, I have asked this problem already long time ago and unfortunately, there was no solution. As far as I remember, suddenly the desired function worked again. Re: open explorer w. specific folder on key 4 and 5 doesn't

Hi Phil,

today i have tried it again, to set the debug mode and it seems, there is more data in the log file.

Do you see, why win explorer does not longer open with the desired folders?

Re: open explorer w. specific folder on key 4 and 5 doesn't

I just set the Diag option again, klicked ok and got back to the settings window. The apply button was still dimmed. Then I changed the value of mouse-wheel right button to the same value it had and then the apply button could be klicked. I klicked this button and then pressed mouse button 4 and 5. ...

Re: open explorer w. specific folder on key 4 and 5 doesn't

@Phil, of course I have set Button 4 and 5 of my mouse to "Open explorer at specified folder" and both folders exist. I run Win7 64-bit professional. I tried to set the Debug Mode on. Is this the flag on the window "general Settings" Tab: extented? When I set the option "activate Diagnose recording"...

how can I show a mouse click on the screen

Is it possible, to show on the screen, when I click a mouse button? I imagine, that the mouse cursor gets for a short time a ring with a different color or a small bitmap behind it, depending on the mouse button I clicked. This would be helpfull, if I explain to someone sitting besides me, how to us...

Changing the layer

Is there a definition - I didn't find - that I can change the layer by simply klicking with the left mouse button to the XMBC Icon in the system tray? It would be great, if the "X" in the icon would show the active layer like 1, 2, 3 etc. . (Of course, I can rmb to this icon, move the mouse pointer ...

Re: Problems in setting Mouse Buttons under Win7 64-Bit

Phil, you are right with the flashing cursor in the box. Unfortunately, the field I selected had already the the value CTRL + SHIFT + 6 (NUMPAD) . This text however is longer than the box and as the cursor is set after the end of the string it is not seen. That was the reason, why I believed, the bo...
